Here we go!

Knittripps came over for the big Olympic kick off tonight.
We were armed with all of the proper enhancements (tea & chocolate)

And, here is me casting on.
(Make note: I did cast on twice during the opening ceremonies.....already off to a rough start with the KSH). I think I have it under control now.

As far as my progress for the first evening, this is where I stopped:

You can start to see the short rows that this pattern is forming.

Did I mention I found a KAL for this? Wohoo! I tried to join today--I hope they add me to their site soon! How cool is that? There is even another Iowan who is doing the same project for Harlot's Olympics!

Well, I think they are getting closer to lighting the flame...hoping to catch a glimpse of my FAVORITE Italian! What's not to like?

Good luck everyone!

Looking good!
Did you see the flame being lit? I got the TV turned on in time when I got home and it sent chills down my arms! Very cool.

The flame being lit was cool... we even rewound it and watched it a second time. :)

This shawl looks beautiful.
