Girls Weekend

Today I got back from a girls weekend in Branson, MO. My sis, mom, aunt, grammie, & good fam friend drove our way down for a good time. This was my first time to Branson, and what an experience it was. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the main drag of Branson was quite surprising. It is a very hilly part of the country and so it is not very pedestrian friendly. There are little knick knack shops everywhere, buffets, restaurants, & entertainment complexes. We toured the Hollywood Wax Museum & saw Dolly Parton's Dixieland Stampede for entertainment, drove around Table Rock Lake, and took a stroll through historic Branson. It was a packed weekend. Again, what an experience!

As far as knitting, Knittripps & I were sock crazy. We both finished one sock this weekend. I am doing the Simply Lovely Lace Socks from the Spring 2006 Interweave Knits. Here is the finished first sock (using Patons Grace in Taupe)

On the homefront, the zoo was happy to have BAM home. My little helper Hero has been supervising my knitting activities (she gave me the ok to post this sock picture)
Hubby's grandparents are celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary this week. How amazing is that? Happy Anniversary to 2 very special people!
