HAPPY NEW YEAR

It has been decided...Whitby had to go, and Crusoe has taken over! I have done Crusoe once before, and after the suggestion by Knittripps...I knew it would be a good choice. You can already see what a difference a pattern makes!

The one with the needles is Crusoe (in progress).

This has been a very good weekend (despite the EV1.net bowl with my Cyclones). Lots of relaxation, and some good time out and about. Knittripps had one rockin' New Years Eve party which hubby & I attended for a while, and today I get to spend some time with my good buddies from L.A. and our friend Katie (future knitter, I know it!). As for reflections on 2005, it was a pretty good year.

The bests:

1. Our 1 year wedding anniversary! Love you hubby!
2. Colorado twice in one year
3. My 3 proudest knits this year: Clapotis, Nordic Lights, Veste Everest
4. Favorite techniques this year: Dropped stitches (intentional), fair isle, cables!
5. L.A. visit
6. Our crazy pets
7. My first year as a blogger

Things to work on for 2006:
1. Seaming sleeves (although seaming everything else is going well)
2. The perfectionist in me that has now decided to rip out projects that are not up to my standards
3. Finally learn 2 socks on 2 circulars
4. Quality over quantity (I am going to pick my projects very carefully this year)
5. Vacation planning (I love going places!)

I'm with you, I'm all about ripping back projects that aren't 100% what you want. Why settle?
