Well, the knit shell is finally coming along. I am currently working on shaping the shoulders and am going to be frogging the current shoulders....gotta love self-modifying knitting patterns. Definitely trial and error.
Beyond that, I have been trying to find my next knitting project. Hoping to become inspired, I have flipped through the new Interweave Knits...no luck. I have sorted through various knitting books in the bookstore...no luck. I have even paged through my own favorite knitting books (you know, the ones that you found patterns that you would love to do and so consequently purchased the book...but when looking for a new project you tend to still put them off).
I keep coming back to The Knitting Garden and their Rowan pattern books. If you haven't checked out their website, they have some pretty great stuff. Tonight I ordered their Cotton Rope Collection book.

I am drawn to these bright colors, makes me think about warm weather and being in Jamaica...ah honeymoon bliss. It was a must have. There are a few here I really like, but I think that either the Morocco shawl or Bazaar will be my first project from this book.
Might even have to start a side project to keep my knitting interest up for the spring...my thoughts? A nice big Farmers Market bag from Melanie Falick's Weekend Knitting.
