After we got a good amount on the bobbin (between Knittripps and I), we learned about plying. DiAnn showed us how to 2-ply off of a lazy kate, with a ball winder, and having the yarn naturally 2-ply itself. We tried the latter, and here are the efforts of my first 2-ply:

Here is some Coopworth/Soy Silk blend roving in Pandora's Box colorway from Hidden Valley Farm/Woolen Mill in Valders, Wisconsin (Paul & Carol Wagner). They were really great and told me about the Wisconsin Sheep & Wool festival in September....I guess it is quite a bit bigger than our little IA festival. Road trip? Hmmmm.....
I needed a little bit of luxury. I couldn't resist getting some Angora from our teacher DiAnn's business. Here she and her kids are drum cording my fiber purchase:
