Closeness

Thank goodness for Forbes...Forbes fyi that is. Yup, I am a subscriber. I always love getting the Forbes fyi pieces because I feel like I get a little peek into the luxury life and what are the hot items. Some affordable, some not at all. But, it seems like I always read a snippet that I adore.

In the most recent issue, I found these:

These are Tumbleweed Tiny Houses. I adore them! From a simplicity and economic sense standpoint, these homes are hellish. You will have you check out the founder Jay's website to really get a good idea here, but basically you can have your own home (quite portable and one of their more expensive designs) for about $40,000....and WAY cheaper if you want to assemble it yourself. They are small (try a couple hundred square feet), but that is the point. The founder Jay has actually spent time at the U of I teaching and talking about his views on the future and use of space for development. Pretty interesting concept.

Somehow though, I don't think that this is what hubbs was talking about when he said he wanted a house....but can't you just see putting one of these is the most beautiful, desolate locations.....just for your own tranquility? Mmmmmm.....mountains....

As small as it is, that would really be the perfect house for a mountain getaway!
