Not only have we been enjoying some nice fires lately, but yes, some knitting has been done as well. Despite casting the needles to the side for the last couple of days, I picked up Crusoe and finished up the first sock. Here she be!
Last night, I couldn't resist and snagged another knitting book, Alterknits. There are a few things I would like to try from here...including the lace-up fingerless gloves, felted laptop case (for our NEW laptop...yay), and pda case (for a mini purse, looks like just enough to hold the necessities).

Love the sock!
Looking in my stash, it appears I have two skeins of manos plus a little extra. If you don't mind purple and you think that is enough for us both to knit the fingerless gloves, we are all set to knit them up in the future. Mmmmm...manos!
Crusoe looks great. Just be careful with that second sock syndrome! I've heard nothing but good things about Alterknits. I'm going to have to go check it out!
