3 day weekends

After the first week of classes and getting back into the routine of work/MBA, a 3 day weekend was just what I needed. The weather here has been bitterly cold, but that means lots of time in the house for relaxation. On the knitting front, I started, and then subsequently ripped out EZ's Baby Surprise due to mistakes on the decreasing. Good thing I was only 9 rows in! This pattern is very vaguely written, and took a little online looking to see that yes, in fact, I am not the only knitter out there who wanted a little more clarification. But, I think I get it now, and it will be time to get going again with it soon. However, in the meantime, I wanted some instant gratification baby knitting. After all, 11 weeks to go! And not a knit ready yet :) Yikes! So, pulled out a quick knit....Debbie Bliss's Seed Stitch Shoes.

One down, one to go! I used Rowan 4-ply soft (100% Merino Wool). The lighting is a little deceiving, because this is more of a mauve than a lavender. I knitted the smallest size (3-6mos.).

On the preggie front, back pain is starting to surface. And I still have quite a ways to go. Guess it is all about how your frame carries the weight. Being a petite build and carrying most of the weight out front has really gotten my lumbar area barking from time to time. It isn't constant, but too much sitting, too much standing is really becoming a pain (literally). I have noticed that if I do stretching with my Prenatal Yoga Deck, then the next day is less painful. So, for now I will try to be consistent with stretching, but if it gets much worse, I think I will be talking with my Dr. about acupuncture. Not much a preggie can do, but I have done a little online research and this could be an option. Oh well, all for a good cause :) Counting down the days.....70......

70 days? Wow.

The Seed Stitch Shoe looks cute! Instant gratification is good sometimes.
