Update on the tank

Well, last night was knitting group. It was a quiet evening, just 2 of us there. But it was nice to catch up on things and relax with our projects. I am still working my way through the dreaded tank top...very boring pattern which has just given me a little bit of a challenge. Since I changed the pattern to accommodate knitting in the round, I have suddenly gotten into quite the predicament at the armholes. My binding off method isn't quite giving the results I would like to have....as a matter of fact, what I have tried has turned out to be downright funky. So...time to go backwards in the work and look for another option.....eh....hope this tank fits after all of this hassle!

Look what my hubby brought home today? His dad brought us a yummy treat! Posted by Hello

When I am not being crafty.....

I am enjoying weekends with my husband's passion---cycling! Today was a cold one and we went out to the country for this race....as you can see by the pics. Outside the weather was about 38-40 degrees Fahrenheit with the windchill...and boy was the wind whipping huge gusts for these riders. They had pretty steady 20 miles per hour wind bursts.

So, my buddy Ein and I spent much of our watching parked in a good spot watching the race from the car. As a matter of fact, that is where all of these pics were taken...pretty decent pics taken through a windshield with bug splatter on it, eh? Today's race was a 13 mile loop done for 3 laps for these boys...pretty long race in these conditions. Everyone looked like they sure felt the climate today after the race and hubby says that his legs are sore...must need a leg massage :-)

Time to prep for tomorrow's race...should be a good one. Hopefully Ein & I will be able to watch from OUTSIDE of the car tomorrow...not that we didn't have a little companionship watching Dodgeball on DVD of course.

And last night was a blast. We went with some friends to the Kenny Chesney concert and boy can that man rock! He is a non-stop energy machine. Fun concert, and hubby (after grudgingly going), said that he enjoyed it....YAY! He know understands and agrees with my thoughts....Kenny Chesney is the Jimmy Buffet of country.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Here it is...Finished! I ended up doing a little bit of a different edging than what the pattern called for, but I really like how it turned out. Just in time for spring weather and cool evenings. To fringe or not to fringe, that is the question. Posted by Hello

A little blurry, but here is a close up of Tutu Posted by Hello

Here is a quick fix for your knitting pleasure. I used Moda-Dea Tutu yarn in Pear Green to make this lovely gift scarf. I adapted this pattern (didn't cast on quite as many stitches):http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/waikiki_bias_scarf.html Posted by Hello
This picture doesn't quite capture how many little "Tutus" are coming off of this scarf. Think the recipient will enjoy this? Definitely a fun color!

What a weekend!

Well, folks...this weekend was fairly unproductive on the knitting front...but, what can I say...it was the weekend for my hubby and I to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary! Saturday we went to the restaurant in the hotel where my DH proposed to me...damn tastey food as you can see by our pics. It was kind of a fun evening at the hotel, as a couple was getting married there and we walked in to the hotel only to hear their processional music which was similar to ours!

Sunday we went for a hike at a nearby state park and had a picnic. Our puppy Ein loved the hiking, and especially enjoyed our stop for malts and a doggy cone on the way home!

And our one year would not be complete without having a slice of our wedding cake a year later. As you can see...we dug right in! And believe it or not, it is actually enjoyable a year later! Crazy, eh?

Enjoy the pics, hope everyone had a good weekend!
Love you hubby! Happy Anniversary!

And of course the top of our wedding cake...how could the day be complete without this? Posted by Hello

Knitty Knitty Knitty!

Yes! Spring Knitty! Just what I need as the weather starts to come around here in the Midwest. Sun just barily poked out today. Gotta love Knitty.
Check it out:

That is, if I ever finish the boring tank I am working on right now. I am however, so distracted by my current crocheted shawl that it might be a while ....who am I kidding, I like to have several projects going to bounce back and forth between as the mood hits.

What a way to end a long Monday...coming home to a nice present on the doorstep! I received the yarn I am going to be using on my shawl, Katia Pisco from Elann.com. It is sooo soft, and the color is really nice. It is called Butter Pecan. This is the second time I have ordered from Elann.com and I love their quick service and reasonable prices on nice yarns! Yay for Elann! Posted by Hello
