Is one project at a time ever enough? Thought I would break up the many rounds of straight stockinette stitch from my tank to to start this fun project....a crocheted shawl from Stitch Divas that rivals the beauty of Jessica Simpson's shawl...pretty good replica, eh? I will post some pictures when I receive the yarn I ordered.....can't wait to get this started for spring! Posted by Hello

Knit Tank Posted by Hello

Tank

Well, I think this will be my next project. I have several balls of Elann.Com Sock it to Me Collection Esprit. I cast on for Knitty's Honeymoon Cami only to find that the lace pattern was lost with this yarn's texture. So, today with a trip to the LYS I found this pattern from Plymouth Yarn Design Studio. This is a 2 piece pattern, but I would like to try to convert it to knit in the round. I have never converted a pattern before, I think the arm holes is what will throw me off.

Any suggestions for how to do this?

Hat!

This one was a quick knit, and I am happy with the results...what could be better? :) The pattern I used was from Marnie MacLean's website: http://www.mlminspirations.com/patterns/
I used her pattern for the Nautilus Hat
Yarn Used: Lion Brand Micro Spun
Color: Lilac

Isn't it spiffy?

Conwy Sock from Nancy Bush's Knitting on the Road Posted by Hello

Let the Blogging Begin

I have really enjoyed surfing around and viewing knitting blogs from all over the country. It has really encouraged me to have my own blog where I can share with other knitters my projects. And so we begin!

I have finished my latest project, Conwy from Nancy Bush's Knitting on the Road. The yarn I used was Handpainted Opal in Color #16, purchased from my LYS. This is the 3rd pair of socks I have knit, and was definitely a fun pattern to use. I absolutely loved the yarn, it is amazing how much more you can enjoy a project when you are enchanted by the colors and texture of your yarn!

Besides spending some time knitting this past week, my DH and I went out and purchased an IPods Mini for me...a pink one! My DH has one of the 1st generation IPods, and thought I would really enjoy having one. I have an older MP3 player (an RCA Lyra) from Christmas several years back, and thought it might be nice to upgrade. At first I was doubtful if I would use my Mini very much since I spend most of my waking hours at work and doing the daily routine, but I soon realized how much I had missed listening to music. So, this week I have been spending time ripping favorite CDs to put on the Mini and putting some songs from our computer on there. Knitting has been on the side of things as I have started to enjoy this little gadget. It is sooo cute! I can't wait to get it set up just right :)
